Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program which is popularly known as CELPIP is a test to examine an English language proficiency. It allows a candidate to prove his English language proficiency in various British and English speaking countries for studying and getting employment.
CELPIP is a valid and reliable means to establish effective communication with colleagues and higher authorities of the working center. Interaction becomes easy with friends and various written mandates coming across in the organization and otherwise.
CELPIP test has two versions one is CELPIP – General Test and another one is CELPIP – General LS Test.
A general test is held to access the language proficiency related to Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills. It is widely accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as proof of proficiency in the English language to acquire permanent residency in Canada. Besides this there are various organizations that certify CEPIP – General Test such as Real Estate Council of British Columbia (RECBC) and Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). The CELPIP-General LS Test examines functional Listening and Speaking proficiency.
The CELPIP Test is exceedingly documented in Canada and IRCC, the Real Estate Council of British Columbia and Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council recognized as a measure of ability with the English Language. It is a general English language proficiency test which comprises of two sections:

The maximum time duration for the CELPIP-General Test is 3 hours.
Listening (47–55 minutes)
Speaking (15–20 minutes).
The maximum time duration for the CELPIP-General LS Test is 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Both CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS Test are acknowledged for citizenship in Canada but CELPIP-General is superlative to get a Permanent Resident in Canada. The result of the CELPIP test is declared online within eight days after the test is conducted.
CELPIP General Test has four components- Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. It requires 3 hours to attempt the complete test without any break.

This section has six parts and in each part an audio tpe is played for 1 to 1.5 minutes only once.
It has four parts where one is allowed 10 minutes to reach the passage in each part. You can read just once or read as many times as you can but before leaving the page as you cannot return to the page again.
It has two writing tasks every task is allowed 150-200 words on a given topic. The words are counted simultaneously as you are typing it.
Task 2: 26 mins (Responding to Survey Questions)
It has 8 tasks in this section.
Every task needs recording for 60-90 seconds.
One is given 30 seconds of preparation time.
It helps in examining the spoken English by recording the responses while speaking into a microphone.
